The choice of profile depends on the type of application necessary or sought after, whether laying flooring or wall covering, the selected materials and thickness.

These parameters respond to the technical result and look that you eventually want to obtain when laying the pre-chosen materials. Within our product section, there is an index organized specifically to guide you to the right product based on:

• Required application
• Surface
• Material to be laid out

This is unquestionably a personal choice that depends on the client's own preferences, though certain technical aspects must be considered such as the compatibility between the profile used and the laying and flooring type.

Profiles differ not only in their modes of application, but also in their available materials and finishes. There are five main categories of materials available: Steel, Brass, Aluminum, PVC and expanded PVC. Within these five categories, there are different finishes available:

• Steel: normal, polished, anti-scratch
• Brass: natural, polished, chrome
• Aluminum: natural, anodized, satin anodized, brilliant, varnished, coated
• PVC: natural, polished, superpolished, marbled
• Expanded PVC: single dye, wooden dye

How can I be assured that the product is indeed made by Profilpas?
All Profilpas' products are scrupulously marked with the company logo as a guarantee of origin.
All Profilpas' profiles are packed in protective packaging (extensible film, thermoshrink film, cardboard boxes and/or tubes) properly marked with essential data: product name, identifying code, EAN code, company trademark, materials and finish indications.
Thus each product carries a truly singular ID card to identify simply and clearly all of the product's features.
Numerous metal profiles also have a punch mark with the company trademark (e.g. profiles furnished with perforated tabs).

The relation between the height of the profile and that of the flooring/covering varies following: the kind of profile used, its type of use and the actual flooring/covering to be laid out.

Many Profilpas' profiles for flooring and covering have special components for making external and internal angles.

All the skirting boards in the Metal Line series, excluding those for plasterboard and coatings, can be used with special components which assist in making connections that act as: external angles, internal angles, terminals and cover trims; rendering the finish uniform and linear.

There are substantial differences between Profilpas' profiles and traditional PVC profiles.

Profilpas uses non-toxic plastics. The stabilized polyvinyls used by Profilpas for creating all its plastic profiles, besides being free of toxins, guarantee a wholly different durability. Further, the color of the products do not fade, i.e., they undergo no toning processes; presenting instead properties of notably superior elasticity compared with normal PVCs, due to an enrichment of the plastic materials with special resins and additives.

Each profile requires an attentive and precise operation during the laying stage in order to ensure the best results in strictly functional and esthetic terms.

Care and maintenance of the materials used in manufacturing Profilpas' products is closely related to the type of alloy and/or finish of the products themselves.

On receipt of the shipped goods, we ask that you verify:

1. that the packages are fully intact, undamaged and not damp, thus conforming to standard characteristics
2. that the number of packages on the shipping note matches the actual order.

N.B.: Irregularities must be immediately brought to the attention of the carrier; otherwise the shipment shall be considered duly and correctly delivered.
